(HOI) — With traditional fall sports officially in the rearview mirror, spring sports have once again taken center stage in the Heart of Illinois with baseball and girls soccer action in the area on Monday night.

In Washington, the Panthers used an offensive explosion and a bomb from Josh Heyder to run past Moline 11-6. Meanwhile, IVC opened up Illini Prairie play with a 4-3 win against Bloomington Central Catholic. Brimfield also took an 11-4 victory over Farmington in game one of a doubleheader.
