Shortly after completing its hot-weather testing in the Northern Cape and elsewhere in Mzansi, Maserati South Africa has unveiled its brand new MC20 super sports car.
Unveiled at a private viewing session at the Maserati House in Brynston, the MC2O marks as the first step in the new era, paving the way for the future of Maserati with its innovation, uniqueness and audacity.
Domenico La Marte, General Manager, Maserati Middle East and Africa, said: “We are proud to show the MC20 for the first time in South Africa during very exclusive and private viewing sessions. With the MC20, we inaugurate a new era in the only way we know: with audacity, energy and always focusing on our goal to deliver one of the most exclusive experiences to our clients.”
Nagesh Naidoo, Dealer Principal of Maserati Johannesburg, said: “We are very proud for South Africa to have been chosen as one of the official testing locations for the MC20 super sports car. The car has been creating a lot of buzz in the market, and we are excited to show it to our clients and the media.”
It is powered by an in-house, new Nettuno V6 engine with 463 kW and 730 Nm of torque. Maserati claims it hurtles from a stop to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds with the top speed coming in at 325 km/h.
The Maserati MC20 is expected to arrive in South Africa in Q4 2021.
