LBI REGION, NJ – The region’s Chamber of Commerce kicked off its 107th year with their annual State of the Chamber. The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce hosted Joel Naroff, PHD to discuss and field question regarding the local and statewide economy. Businesses were given insight to the lead economist’s forecast, and how it will impact the region. Attendees were also introduced to the chamber’s new event platform featuring networking, video showrooms, live chamber chat booth and a presentation from State of the Chamber sponsor Orsted.
The organization announced two upcoming events that will be hosted via zoom to help businesses and non profits in the upcoming months. For those interested in learning about the latest round of Economic Stimulus for businesses they can attend Friday January 22 11 am SBA Live Stream Workshop on PPP and New Loan Guidance featuring Sheryl Paynter Lead Lender Relations & Lead Economic Development Specialist. Small Business Administration questions answered on latest round of funding including PPP, PPP Round 2 and other programs. For those in the event industry or organization’s that rely on hosting events, the Virtual Winter Business & Non Profit Forum will be held on Wednesday February 10 at 10am. Rebounding Events: Moving past Covid-19 presented by Carol Waties SBDC & Noel Criscone-Naylor of Stockton University. Discussion on how the event industry and organizations can thrive in the upcoming year with this interactive session.
