Twin Cities Gateway, a regional convention and visitors bureau based in Blaine, has announced that Al Stauffacher will assume the director’s position on Jan. 1 and Natalie Conrad has been named the director of marketing and communications.

ENVIRONMENT

The National Parks of Lake Superior Foundation announced the appointments of Robert D. (Bob) Lindberg and Fawn Bernhardt-Norvell to its board of directors; Lindberg is a retired financial services director and telecommunications executive; Bernhardt-Norvell currently serves as the development director for the Center for Victims of Torture. The organization provides financial support for projects and programs that preserve the five Lake Superior national parks. … The Nature Conservancy announced that it has elected John Knapp as chair of its board of trustees overseeing the organization’s work in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota and added trustees Allison Gage and Steve Christenson; Knapp, a retired attorney in St. Paul; Gage, of Edina, is president of the Big Know, an online-learning company; Christenson is St. Paul-based Ecolab’s global senior vice president of regulatory affairs and associate general counsel.

Jacklyn Milton, administrative director of St. Paul-based Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute, has been named to the AARP and Pollen Minnesota 50 Over 50 list as a Literary Leader; the nonprofit published the children’s book, “Justice Makes a Difference: The Story of Miss Freedom Fighter, Esquire,” which has been selected as the winner in the Minnesota Author Project competition in the Communities Create category.
